GoWentGone arose among friends who studied arts and loved traveling. Especially, willing to return somethings back to our society by applying our knowledge and abilities as we might. Thus, we consequently founded 'GoWentGone' to pass on happiness and smile through art projects we have created. Like us, We shared our experience and point of view to local artisans, as well as learnt form them in “From Surin To You”, a prototype project.
About “From Surin To You” Project The reason why we traveled back and forth to Surin several times last year was we need to help local artisans at Ban Tamore, Surin design and develop their products. We hope that their product will be more unique and popular, also more participation from local youngsters, in order to keep our disappearing technique, which is…… Mud-Mee, or Ikat, a traditional khmer threads dying technique from Suay, Cambodia then spread to E-San(North-East of Thailand). Anyway, Mud-Mee still now considered an almost vanished dying technique because more craftsmen quit this job and fewer new generation keep it alive. We, Go went Gone, hope this project will help our awesome heritage alive too.
